This consists of sending, at least two weeks before your trip, the following documents. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Signed statement: student declares to know and adhere to all rules, protocols and measures related to UC Global Mobility. The form to be completed will be given directly to the students once they are accepted by the host institution. <\/li>\n<li>Health and travel insurance: it must include medical repatriation, cover at least 30,000 EUR or equivalent and must have a duration equal to the entire period that the student is outside Chile.<\/li>\n<li>Passport and Visa: No student may travel without obtaining a visa\/residence permit in Chile. However, if the flight to one of these destinations, makes a stopover in another country that requires a passport for entry, for example Panama, it is necessary to travel with a passport. <\/p>\n<p>Some countries require that, at the time of travel, the passport be valid for at least 6 months prior to expiration. However, we suggest that your passport be valid for at least the entire period of your stay abroad. <\/p>\n<h4 class=\"mb-20\">Visas<\/h4>\n<p>For the vast majority of countries it is necessary to apply for a visa or residence permit depending on the purpose of the trip (work, study, training or other). We recommend taking the following into consideration: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The visa application can be submitted only upon receipt of a letter of acceptance from the host university or institution.<\/li>\n<li>From the Coordination of Accompaniment we are willing to help and guide you with any doubts you may have regarding the visa application process, however, the processing is the responsibility of the visa applicant.<\/li>\n<li>In this Airtable you can review the details of the process for each country. It is valid for one year (renewable) and to obtain it, it is necessary to comply with the requirements for each card. These are the most usual alternatives: <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Dorms: are part of the same university and can be located within the same campus or very close to it. Generally you can choose individual or shared rooms, with shared common areas. <\/li>\n<li>Student residences: in university cities there is usually this type of external accommodation offer. Generally you can choose individual rooms with private bathroom and kitchen or shared rooms in common areas. <\/li>\n<li>Host families: you stay with a local family.
