Assignment, readjustment and confirmation

For each university of the bilateral exchange program there is a limited number of places that varies from semester to semester and that you can check in the offer of places.

Students with a current academic or disciplinary sanction will not be considered for the quota allocation process and may reapply only once the sanction has been lifted.

The allocation of places for the exchange pre-selection call is made exclusively according to academic priority, regardless of whether you complete the application form on the first or last day of the online application process.

The academic priority is an index calculated by Academic Records, which considers cumulative weighted average, curricular progress and the proportion of approved credits. All variables are standardized by career, to correct existing differences.
The academic priority used in the allocation of quotas, comes to the VRAI directly from the university systems, therefore it has no interference or responsibility in its calculation.

To assign a vacancy, all students who have applied in the call for applications are ranked by academic priority, assigning the vacancies from the highest ranked student downwards, always respecting the order of priority of universities that each student has indicated (first we see if it is possible to assign him/her to his/her first priority, if not, to the second, and so on).

Due to the above, it is recommended to make a strategic application, always indicating several university options. In the online application you will be able to select up to 10 different options, but it is recommended that you put those that really interest you, because if you are assigned one and then reject it, you will be automatically in withdrawal status.

While the online application process is open, you may enter the form as many times as you wish to make changes to your choices. The last submission you make is the one that will be considered in the allocation of quotas.

The results are informed via email at least 3 weeks after the closing of applications and can be:

• With assigned quota: the student will have the option to accept it and continue in the process or reject it and withdraw from the process.
• Without assigned quota: the student will have the option to participate in the readjustment of quotas or to withdraw from the process.

If the student was not assigned a place in any of the options indicated, he/she will be able to participate in the process of readjustment of quotas. Students who have been assigned a place in the single call cannot participate in the readjustment process.

What does it consist of?

1. This is an exclusive second call for students who were not assigned any vacancy for their options.
2. You will be able to choose among the universities offered for the exchange pre-selection call that still have places available after the first allocation. The updated list will be published before the start of the readjustment call.
3. Quotas are assigned by Academic Priority.
4. To apply, you must log in again to the Online Application and modify your preferences according to the available offer of vacancies.

All the assignment processes are carried out considering that the student has been informed about all the necessary requirements to be fulfilled for the institution to which he/she is applying.

• Pay the application fee.

The quota will be considered confirmed only if both steps are completed within the confirmation period informed. Otherwise, the application will be in Withdrawn status.
