From Climate Risk to Sustainability
Descripción
Our planet is facing unprecedented challenges: from alarming evidence of planetary degradation and the alarming loss of species and ecosystems, to an increase in extreme weather events fueled by climate change. In this context, science emerges as a vital ally, providing the evidence necessary for informed decision-making and the development of effective policies aimed at climate change adaptation and mitigation.
In this course, students will equip themselves with essential tools to critically analyze pressing global socio-environmental issues. By leveraging scientific data and employing systemic thinking, participants will explore the intricate web of climate risks, identifying key variables and the multifaceted roles necessary to tackle the socio-environmental crisis.
